The Cateran Trail
The Cateran Trail is a fully waymarked walk of 64 miles (103 km) that lies at the heart of Scotland, approximately 1 ½ hours north of Edinburgh. The Trail takes its name from the feared cattle thieves who raided the rich lands of Strathardle, Glenshee and Glen Isla.
The Trail is managed by the Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust and is one of Scotland's Great Trails.
Follow the Trail
The Trail is divided into five stages that can comfortably be walked within five days. There is also a mini trail that takes in the Trail's best bits and can be walked in a weekend. All of the information to enable you with the planning of your trail adventure is available on this website or in the Cateran Trail leaflet.
